United Way Trinidad & Tobago

UWTT is a non-profit organisation which raises charitable donations from companies and individuals, and channels these funds to the NGOs which deliver critical social services to citizens in need. Established under the auspices of United Way International, UWTT is dedicated to the advancement and upliftment of society.

Donations are raised via employee salary deductions and over the years an increasing number of Guardian Life agents and employees have generously given monthly contributions. In 2010, we hosted our first annual Food Festival where all proceeds from ticket sales were matched by the company and donated to UWTT.

The Beat Breast Cancer Music Festival

In 2010, the Basia Survivor Network (BSN) launched its first annual charity event geared towards assisting the many women in the Caribbean afflicted with cancer. The purpose of the Beat Breast Cancer Music Festival is to raise funds in an effort to ease the financial burden cancer survivors face. Additionally, proceeds are used to provide women who are part of the Basia Survivor Network with the necessary PET/CT scans which are not available locally or regionally.

As a sponsor of this worthwhile initiative, Guardian Life is committed to looking after life and offers a unique critical illness product, Rejuvenator Plus, which includes cancer coverage.
