H. Peter Ganteaume
Group CEO who led GHL from July 1997 - April 2006, Peter Ganteaume is a former Executive Chairman of PricewaterhouseCoopers and has had a distinguished career in finance, accounting and audit. In addition to serving as an Executive Director for Guardian Holdings and its several subsidiaries, he also sits on the boards of Caribbean Packaging Industries and Laqtel.
Ravi Tewari, Guardian Life of the Caribbean
Group President - Life, Health and Pensions
An Open National Scholarship winner - 1st in the Science Group, Mr. Tewari obtained a Bachelor of Science - Actuarial Science from City University, London in 1992. He is also a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries and is a member of the Institute of Actuaries. On returning from England in 1992, he worked for an international actuarial consultancy firm before joining Guardian Life of the Caribbean Limited.
Phillip Hamel-Smith
Philip Hamel-Smith joined the Guardian Holdings Board in March 1997. An Attorney-at-Law, he is the Managing Partner of M. Hamel-Smith and Company. This former Trinidad & Tobago Senator, Mr. Hamel-Smith has served as Vice President of the Senate and is a member of the Law Association of Trinidad & Tobago, the St. Kitts & Nevis Bar Association, the American Bar Association and the International Bar Association and Law Society of the United Kingdom. Mr Hamel-Smith is also a Director of The American Chamber of Commerce of Trinidad & Tobago.
Nicholas Lok Jack
Holds a BA Business Administration, double majoring in Finance and Marketing, as well as an MBA specializing in Corporate Financing from the University of Miami . Nicholas Lok Jack is a director of Laevulose Ltd. and Guardian Asset Management, and is also a member of the Investment Banking Club. He currently holds the position of Assistant General Manager, Charles Candy Division.
Shiraz Ahamad
He is a Director of Southern Sales & Service Limited with direct responsibility for the Lease and Rental Division. He is a director on a number of boards including Office 1 Trinidad Ltd., TR Trinidad Ltd., Agostini Pharmaceuticals Ltd., Agostini Marketing Ltd., Guardian Asset Management, Bavarian Motors Ltd., Automobile Sales Ltd. and Faraig Ltd. Mr. Ahamad is also a committee member of the American Chamber of Commerce.
Selby Wilson
Joined Guardian Holdings Limited as a Director in March 1997. A former Minister of Finance and Certified Chartered Accountant, he is the Secretary General of the Caribbean Association of National Telecommunications' Organizations.
David Davies
Mr Davies brings to the Board extensive experience in the pensions and the insurance industry, spanning some 30 years, with strong technical, commercial and general management skills in business and strategic development, major restructuring and business process improvements. A Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries and previously Chief Executive of Pearl Assurance and London Life in the UK, he joins the Board of Guardian Holdings Limited (GHL) as a non-executive Director.
